We’ve designed our escape rooms to make sure you can never get tired of the excitement of breaking out of Napier Prison.

We currently have four different escape rooms that you can choose for when you book your Escape Room experience.

Escape Room 1
Fresh Meat
Difficulty: Beginners ( kids friendly )
Group Size: 2 – 6
You need to break free but can you find and solve the clues? A former inmate has planted cryptic clues under the nose of the guards. If you can solve the clues within the time limit you can make your escape. Be warned: the guards will check in on you every half an hour and whatever you do, don’t pull the alarm!

Escape Room 2
THE DARK ENIGMA
Difficulty: Easy
Group Size: 2 – 6
It should have been so simple. Keep your head down, do your time, don’t rock the boat. Make enough friends to survive and don’t get too attached. But when you’re behind bars and trouble comes looking for you: there’s nowhere to hide.
On the evening of February 2nd, Robinson, the youngest of your crew, disappears.
You suspect foul play. So on 3 February 1931, in the chaos and confusion that follows the earthquake you sneak into the warden’s office, suspecting him to be responsible. Now you’re trapped, and you have just one hour to escape…

Old-timer Bill thinks you’ve got what it takes.
“I’ve got a job lined up for when I get out of here, a big score, lots of antiquities, but I need a crew. I’ve been in here long enough that I don’t trust anyone on the outside, but you guys I think I can work with.”
“I know you’re not due to get out for a while, but I’m gonna let you in on a little secret.” he gives you a wink, “I’ve got a guard on my side. I’ve hidden the codewords to get out in my cell, and if you find them and get out, well then, that’s when things will get interesting. Think of this as a job interview.”

Escape Room 5
THERAPY UNIT
Difficulty: Hard
Group Size: 3 – 6
This escape is not for the faint-hearted. The Therapy Unit was an undocumented area of Napier Prison that remained hidden until during routine renovation workers discovered what appeared to be a false wall. Behind the wall were 2 cells, the remains of a Dr’s office and treatment rooms. There are no records of this space but there are signs it may have been used to treat children. Now all that remains is a mystery of a psychedelic nature…
(Please note: players will be handcuffed and blindfolded for a portion of this game)

FAQs
No. Once your 60 minutes have expired, you must leave the room. There will be another group following immediately after you, so we need time to reset the room for the new group.
We recommend that players are 12 and over, however, we are happy to take any players under the age of 16 as long as they are accompanied by an adult (18+). Younger players will likely struggle with some of the puzzles
While you are in a room, you are monitored by The Escape Room staff at all times. You will also be equipped with a walkie-talkie that will allow you to contact our staff should the need arise. In case of emergency, you will be promptly removed from a room.
If you need to reschedule in the event of an emergency, please give us a call. We will do our best to accommodate you. Minimum 48 hours notice required.
No. All sales are final. Please be aware that our rooms are live action events, so once your booking is confirmed, no refunds are offered. However, if you would like to reschedule please call us to organize.

Yes, we have parking on site, so feel free to come right up the driveway.
We ask that no photos are taken inside the rooms so we can keep our secrets safe. However, we have plenty of photo opportunities outside of the rooms including our mugshot wall. And we also offer a free team photo for every group that is then uploaded to our facebook page for you to share with your friends.
Unfortunately no, we have a minimum requirement of 2 players per game.
You will need some basic knowledge of the English language as our rooms have written words in English. But we are happy to help throughout the game by explaining what some words mean if you are having difficulty.
No, there are no horror elements to our games. things might come across creepy or strange due to the fact we are a historic prison but there are no jump scares or actors in our rooms.
No, our rooms are designed to work out your brain, not your body.
